MVP ACCOMPLISHMENTS: This talented player for the Aves is rated by some scouting services as the top senior runningback in the state of Ohio. A 2-year varsity starter, Bud, playing in only 9 games last season, rushed for 1,134 yards while scoring 15 TDs and had a 6.3 yards-per-carry average. He started strong this season with 352 yards rushing (3 TDs) in a victory over Springboro and 239 yards rushing (3 TDs) in a victory vs. Roger Bacon. “Bud is a big, strong, hard runningback with a great burst,” says his coach Scott Dattilo. Bud’s honors include being named 1st team all-GMC, 1st team all-city and 2nd team all-Southwest Ohio district. He has also been nominated for the U.S. Army national high school all-star game. Bud, who will also run track this year, will continue his football excellence next season at the University of Illinois. His favorite athlete is New Orleans Saints’ runningback Reggie Bush.
