A two-sport all-star, Winton Woods' senior Jerron Cage in football is a 4-year varsity starter and one of the top-ranked defensive lineman in Ohio and the USA. He has been nominated for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in January in San Antonio.

Jerron has played several positions, including defensive tackle, defensive end, and tight end. Last season, the defensive lineman recorded 48 tackles including 13 tackles for loss and six sacks.

He has earned numerous honors, including last season being named 1st team all-city Div. II, SWO District Div. II Defensive Player of the Year, and 1st team all-Ohio. "Jerron is the first to help someone in need," say coach Andre Parker. "He is a true and consistent leader on the field, in the classroom and in the community."

Also a heavyweight wrestler, Jerron went 28-5 his sophomore year and 38-2 his junior year, and is a two-time sectional champion. A good student active in community service, Jerron will play football collegiately at Ohio State U. His favorite athlete is Aaron Dondal.
