Senior Chance Gray is one of Cincinnati's best basketball players, but this season she will be on the court for the Winton Woods' Warriors after playing three varsity seasons at Lakota West. Chance's father Carlton Gray, a LaRosa's Hall of Famer who starred in football at the old Forest Park High School and UCLA and was a second-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks, is now varsity head girls' basketball coach at Winton Woods. Chance is also a younger sister of one of Cincinnati's best-ever basketball players, All-American Amber Gray, who is now an assistant coach at Winton Woods.

Chance enters her senior season having already scored a lofty 1,516 career points. Last season, she averaged a GMC-leading 25 points a game to go along with 7.4 rebounds per game, 3.7 assists per game and 2.5 steals per game. Her high mark games were scoring 36 points vs. both Middletown and Mercy McAuley, 34 points vs. Colerain, 33 points vs. Princeton and 32 points vs. both Mason and Oak Hills. She holds Lakota school records in highest career scoring average, highest season scoring average, most points in a season, most assists in a game (tie) and most consecutive free throws made. She led the GMC in scoring and assists in both her sophomore and junior seasons.

Chance got off to a strong start with her new team this season, scoring 25 points with five rebounds, five assists and three steals in Winton Woods' overtime win vs. West Clermont. She also scored 28 points vs. Milford, 25 points vs. Lebanon, 24 points vs. Colerain and Trotwood-Madison, 23 points vs. Loveland and 21 points vs. Kings.

Chance's numerous honors include being named first team all-GMC three times and first team all-state twice. She is also a two-time winner of GMC Player of the Year award and three times made the all-SWO District all-star team. She is also a two-time winner of the conference all-academic award.

Chance is active in community service while carrying a 4.0 GPA. She plays for the Sports City U club basketball team and will play collegiately at the University of Oregon.

Her favorite athlete and most-like-to-meet is Kobe Bryant, favorite entertainer is Kevin Hart, favorite book is The Year of the Tiger, and favorite movie is Love and Basketball. She also competed in varsity track for Lakota West.
