Senior Isaac Thornton is an All-American wrestler at Walton-Verona High School. He earned three regional titles and one regional runner-up finish and, last season, he brought home a Kentucky state championship in the 132 lb. weight class. He finished as a Kentucky state runner-up his freshman, sophomore and senior seasons.

His junior year, Isaac finished with an undefeated 17-0 record during the season with 10 pins and was named first team all-Northern Kentucky by both the Enquirer and by the wrestling coaches' association. He entered this season with an impressive 95 wins and only nine losses for his great varsity career with 53 varsity pins. He joined the 100-win club this season.

A good student who is active in community service, he plans to wrestle at the next level but has yet to select a college. He also participated in cross country and track during his varsity career at Walton-Verona.

His favorite athlete is Jordan Burroughs, favorite entertainer is Jim Carrey, favorite book is the Divergent series, favorite movie is 4-Minute Mile and most-like-to-meet is Arnold Schwarzenegger.
