Basketball is a family affair for the Zimmermans. Sarah's twin sisters, sophomores Megan and Elizabeth Zimmerman, also contributed to the team's success. Mom and Dad were both star athletes at Country Day. Mary Zimmerman is in the school's hall of fame and James Zimmerman was on the last boys' basketball team to make the state Final Four in 1992.

Sarah had numerous double-digit scoring games this season, including vs. Norwood (22 points), Purell Marian (21 points), Indian Hill (21 points) and CHCA (20 points). Sarah has earned several honors in basketball, including her junior year when she was team MVP, second team all-MVC for the second time, honorable mention all-city Div. A midfielder in soccer, Sarah had four goals and 15 assists this past season for the MVC Scarlet champs and was named first-team all-MVC for the second time and was first-team all-city for the second time. She was also named as a player for the Southwest Ohio Soccer Coaches' Southwest Ohio Senior All-Star Game. Sarah recorded 23 goals and 32 assists (78 points) in her great athletic career, which included winning four MVC soccer titles and two Ohio state championships. She also plays for the Kings Hammer soccer club team, and, in addition, played varsity lacrosse last season for the Nighthawks and was honorable mention all-league.

An honor student and academic all-state performer who is active in community service, Sarah will play both basketball and soccer collegiately at Washington & Lee University in Virginia. Her favorite athlete is Julie Ertz, favorite entertainer is Thomas Rhett, favorite book is Five Feet Apart, favorite movie is The Greatest Showman, and most-like-to-meet is Rose Lavelle.
