Senior all-star soccer midfielder Gaven Johnson was this season's top returning scorer for the Harrison Wildcats, who were 18-1-1 in winning a second straight SWOC championship. He was named SWOC Player of the Year and Div. II first-team all-state for his efforts this past season.

His junior year, he scored 17 goals and led the conference with 13 assists to finish with 47 points, which ranked second in the SWOC. For his stellar play, he was named SWOC Co-Player of the Year, first-team all-city by the Enquirer, first-team all-SWO District and was a finalist for Cincinnati Player of the Year by the Cincinnati High School Sports Awards. He also holds four school records.

Gaven had a productive senior season. He was second in the SWOC in goals (27), assists (22) and points (76) while leading Harrison to another SWOC title. In an 8-0 win over South Dearborn, he scored two goals and had an assist for five points . He then scored two goals in a 3-1 win over Colerain and scored two goals in a 7-0 win over Hamilton. In a 9-0 win over Mt. Healthy, he scored a goal with five assists for seven points.

A super National Honor Society student with a 4.572 GPA, he is active in community service and plans to play soccer at the next level but has not yet selected a college. His favorite athlete and most-like-to-meet is Lionel Messi, favorite entertainer is The Foo Fighters, favorite book is The Power of Habit, and his favorite movie is The Pursuit of Happiness. He also plays for the TFA Cincinnati club team.
