MVP ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Senior Shelbi Benzinger wraps up a great student-athlete career at Scott High School, where she is a 2-sport star, excelling in basketball and soccer. In basketball, Shelbi (a point guard) was a 4-year starter who this past season averaged 14.6 ppg. and became a member of the 1,000-point club (1,088 career points scored). She was named to the district and regional all-tournament teams and was selected to play in the Ohio-Kentucky All-Star Game. In soccer, a 4-year player, Shelbi was a goalkeeper who was named 1st team all-Northern Kentucky and honorable mention all-state. She will continue her soccer career at the College of Mount St. Joseph. Active in community service, Shelbi was an honor roll student all four years of high school. Her favorite athlete is LeBron James, favorite entertainer and most-like-to-meet is Lil Wayne, and her favorite movie is Coach Carter.
