MVP ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Sometimes it's difficult for smaller school players to get recognition, but you can't look past senior Ben Haarman's impressive statistics. Ben is a 3-year starter at guard for St. Bernard-Elmwood Place and is nearing 900 points in his notable prep career. He is averaging 26 points a game this season, 4th in Cincinnati. He averaged 15 points a game last year for the Titans when he earned honors as 2nd team all-league (Miami Valley Conference) and honorable mention all-city and all-Southwest Ohio district. This season big games include scoring 40 vs. SCPA, 35 (9 rebounds) vs. Milford Christian, 30 vs. Deer Park, and 28 vs. both Seven Hills and New Miami. He also plays AAU basketball and was a member of the Cincinnati Greyhounds team that finished as national runners-up in 2004. He is undecided on a college. His favorite athlete is Kobe Bryant and his favorite entertainer is Jamie Foxx.
