ACCOMPLISHMENTS: This record-breaking swimming All-American and Kentucky state champion is one of the Commonwealth’s most accomplished high school athletes. Having competed on the varsity team since the 7th grade, last year as a junior Krissie won the Kentucky state championship in both the 100 freestyle (50.26) and 100 backstroke (55.30), and did so while setting state records in each event! She also set another state record in the 50 freestyle (23.37) while swimming the first leg of the Tigers’ 200 relay team. For her accomplishments, Krissie was named 2009 Kentucky Female Swimmer of the Year, Regional Swimmer of the Year NKY Swimmer of the Year, and 1st team all-state. An academic All-American active in community service, Krissie will swim next season at the University of Louisville. Her favorite athlete is Dara Torres, favorite entertainer is Rascal Flatts, favorite movie is Little Miss Sunshine, favorite book is The Secret Life of Bees and her most-like-to-meet is Robert Pattinson.
