FUTURE GOAL: Teach physical education and coach football & baseball at the high school level.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Shoulder surgery hasn’t diminished a super prep career for Chad Lawrence. A 3-year varsity starter in baseball, Chad his junior year hit .325 (19 RBIs, 20 runs scored) and, as a catcher, threw out 16 base runners while earning 5 saves as a pitcher. In football as a sophomore QB he led the Pioneers to the Class 6A state finals and the state quarterfinals as a junior. His senior year, he passed for 2,643 yds (28 TDs) and rushed for 1,182 yds. (10 TDs), ranking him first in the state for total offense. In his great career, Chad passed for 4,831 yds. (52 TDs) and rushed for 2,750 yds. (26 TDs). He set numerous school records and earned many honors, including being named 2010 NKAC Player of the Year, Class 6A District Player of the Year, and honorable mention all-state. Active in community service, Chad plans on continuing both his baseball and football career at Campbellsville University.
