Senior wide receiver Derek Kief soon will be the all-time leader in school history with 1,700+ receiving yards. A 3-year varsity starter for the Lancers, Derek was singled out as the #1 wide receiver prospect in Ohio Class of 2014 by several recruiting services.

As a junior, Derek had a single season school-record 65 receptions for 907 yards and 9 touchdowns. He was named 1st team all GCL, 1st team all-city (Enquirer), 1st team all-SWO district and 2nd team all-state by JJHuddle. Derek is also tied for the school record for most receptions in a game (12).

Derek has been nominated to play in the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl in December in Orlando and the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in January in San Antonio. He has committed to play football next season at the University of Alabama, defending NCAA champion.

A good student who is active in community service, his favorite athlete is Calvin Johnson, favorite entertainer is Adam Sandler, and most-like-to-meet is LeBron James.
