A Prep-Volleyball All-American holding numerous school records, middle blocker/hitter Sam Fry helped lead the Lady Lions to the 2012 Ohio Div. I state championship.

Her impressive junior year stats included a GGCL leading and school record 434 kills, a school record 126 blocks, 40 digs, 29 aces and 7 assists. Her accomplishments netted numerous honors, including being named 1st team all-conference, 1st team all-district and 1st team all-state. She was also a finalist for the National Junior High School Player of the Year award.

Active in community service and a super student with a 4.2 GPA, Sam will continue to play volleyball at the University of Notre Dame. Her mother, Shari Matvey Fry, was an academic All-American basketball player for Notre Dame and the first female player for the Irish to score 1,000+ career points. Sam's brother Matt was a member of Summit Country Day's 2012 Ohio state champion basketball team, and is also attending Notre Dame. Multi-talented Sam also has competed in swimming, golf, soccer, basketball, equestrian and is an accomplished piano player.
