A pre-season All American, Moeller senior shortstop Riley Mahan helped lead the Crusaders to back-to-back Ohio state championships, the first team to accomplish this feat in 17 years. The Crusaders posted a 32-2 record last season, the most wins in school history.

Hitting around .380 so far this season, in his junior year, Riley hit .406 with 30 RBI, 27 stolen bases, 43 hits and 41 runs scored (2nd in school history). Riley earned numerous honors, including last season being named 1st team All-GCL, 1st team all-city (Enquirer), 2nd team all-state, and 2nd team All-American.

A good student who is active in community service, in the summer Riley plays for the Ohio Force. He will play next season at the University of Kentucky. His favorite athlete is Brandon Crawford, favorite entertainer is Justin Moore, favorite book is Beyond Belief- the Josh Hamilton Story, favorite movie is Never Back Down and his most-like-to-meet is Derek Jeter.
