James "Beetle" Bolden is one of NKY's top hoopster, a three-year
varsity starter at point guard for the Holmes Bulldogs. He has already
scored 1,500+ points in his super career.
He continues to put up impressive numbers during his senior campaign,
scoring 40 points vs. Scott, 30 vs. Highlands, 28 vs. Bullitt East, 27
vs. Simon Kenton and 26 vs. both Brossart, and Ryle. He was also
nominated for the McDonalds All-American game this spring in Chicago.
As a junior, he averaged 20.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists and
1.8 steals per game while leading the Bulldogs to the district title
and the finals of the 9th Region tournament. He earned numerous
honors, including
being NKAC Div. II Player of the Year and was selected for the
Kentucky-Indiana Junior All-Star game.
During the summer, James plays for the Kentucky Travelers and will
continue his play collegiately at West Virginia University. His
favorite athlete is Derrick Rose, favorite entertainer is Kevin Hart
and his most-like to-meet is LeBron James.
