A two-sport star, Sam in basketball helped lead the Silver Knights to an undefeated (22-0) regular season and the MVC Scarlet title. He was named Conference Player of the Year for the second straight year.

A point guard and team captain, Sam is averaging 16 points a game, with top-scoring games this season vs. Badin (28 points), Clark Montessori (25), Seven Hills (23), and Purcell Marian (20).

His junior year, Sam averaged 14.1 ppg-3.1 rpg-4 apg. and 2.5 spg. and was named MVC Scarlet Player of the Year, 1st team all-city Div. III and honorable mention all-SWO District. Also a soccer all-star, this past season Sam scored 38 goals with 24 assists (100 points), helping the Silver Knights win the MVC title and a 2nd straight Div. III Ohio state title.

Sam was 1st team MVC, 1st team all-city Div. III and 1st team all-state Div. III. He holds two school soccer records. He also is a great academic student (1st honors every year of high school) and is active in community service.
