A four-year varsity starter and a nationally ranked wrestler, senior Corey Shie leaves La Salle High School as the Lancers' all-time winningest wrestler with 181 wins vs. only 15 career losses.

His senior year, Corey notched a 46-4 record and was the 138 lb. champion for the GCL, sectional, and district tournaments, and finished as the Ohio state Div. I runner-up. He won those same championships his junior year (43-4) in the 132 lb. class, finishing in third place in the Ohio state Div. I tournament. He won the sectional and SWO district championships all four years of his stellar varsity career.

Corey this season won the 138-pound title at the 2016 Southwest Ohio Wrestling Coaches' Association Glenn Sample Holiday Classic to become only the second wrestler in the 48-year history of the event to win individual titles all four years.

He was this year's GCL South Wrestler of the Year and has been 1st team all-league four straight years. A good student who is active in community service, Corey will wrestle next year at West Point.
