All-American Sophie Skinner is a four-year varsity swimmer for the Notre Dame Academy Pandas and is the three-time reigning Kentucky state champion in the 100 freestyle.

She has won eight regional championships and four Kentucky state titles in the 100 and 200 freestyle events. She holds school records in both events and holds the Kentucky state record in the 100 freestyle (49.79). Her recent regional titles in the 100 and 200 freestyle helped the Pandas win a remarkable 20th straight regional team crown. She was also a member of the regional champion 400 freestyle relay team.

Sophie has won numerous swimming honors, including last year when she was named the most outstanding swimmer at the regional championships for the third straight year and was on the state championship all-meet team for the third straight year. She was NKY Swimmer of the Year (Enquirer) and 1st team all-state.

She participated in the USA Olympic Trials in Omaha, Nebraska, in four events, and recently finished eighth in the 200 freestyle at the Speedo Winter Junior National Championships-East.

A super student who is active in community service, Sophie also swims for the Northern Kentucky Clippers club team, holding numerous Clipper records, and she will swim collegiately at the University of Virginia.

Her favorite athlete is Matt Grevers, favorite entertainer is Justin Timberlake, favorite book is The Great Gatsby, favorite movie is Back to the Future and most-like-to-meet is Melissa McCarthy.
