One of Cincinnati's most outstanding two-sport athletes is Wyoming High School senior Evan Prater, a star in football and basketball.

In football, the highly decorated quarterback and future Cincinnati Bearcat again this season is at the helm of the winningest high school football program in Cincinnati history (703 all-time wins for the Cowboys). It will be a challenge to duplicate last year's remarkable success when the Cowboys went an undefeated 15-0 and won the Ohio Div. IV state championship. The Cowboys have won 31 straight regular season games, the longest streak in Ohio.

Evan last season accounted for an impressive 60 touchdowns. He passed for 2,181 yards and 28 TDs and ran for 1,788 yards scoring 32 TDs. He has accounted for 6,529 total yards and scored 97 TDs in his superlative varsity career.

The honors Evan won last year are the length of a football field. Among them, he was named USA Today Ohio Offensive Player of the Year, Ohio state Div. IV Offensive Player of the Year, SWO District Div. IV Offensive Player of the Year, Cincinnati Enquirer Div. IV Offensive Player of the Year, Cincinnati.com Sports Awards' Small School Player of the Year and CHL Player of the Year.

In basketball his junior year, Evan averaged 17.9 points-7.7 rebounds per game, leading the Cowboys to an undefeated 14-0 record during regular season play, winning a fifth CHL title in six years. The Cowboys went 20-1 over all, and Evan was named 1st team all-CHL, 2nd team all-city Div. II (Enquirer) and 2nd team all-SWO District Div. II. He has scored 1,000+ points in his varsity career.

His favorite athlete and most-like-to-meet is LeBron James, favorite entertainer is Kevin Hart, favorite book is The Hate You Give, and favorite movie is Semi Pro.
