Covington Catholic senior Grant Disken is one of Northern Kentucky's finest basketball players on one of Kentucky's top-rated teams (29-5), recently crowned this season's 9th Region champions for the third straight year. He is also a Kentucky state champion.

Grant is having a strong senior season, with big scoring games vs.Lexington Catholic (26 points), Paul Lawrence Dunbar (26 points), Johnson Central (26 points), Highlands (25 points) and La Salle (24 points). He was just named to the all-tournament team of the 9th Region Championships.

Last year, as a junior, the point guard led the Colonels to a second straight 9th Region championship, averaging 14 points per game. He made 71 3-pointers, making 41 percent of his attempts. CovCath was 27-8 last year, and Grant was named 1st NKAC Div. I by the coaches and 1st team all-NKY by the Enquirer. He was also named to the all-tournament team of the 9th Region Championships.

His sophomore year, Grant helped the Colonels win the Kentucky state Sweet 16 Tournament.

A good student who is active in community service, he also plays basketball for the Shining Stars club team. His favorite athlete is Shaquille O'Neal, favorite entertainer is Post Malone, favorite book is The Great Gatsby, favorite movie is Saving Private Ryan and most-like-to-meet is John Legend.
