Mason High School senior Maddie Ullom is an all-star runner in cross country and track.

Last season as a junior, she finished fourth in the track 800 run (2:09.95, a school record) at the Ohio state Track Championships plus was third in the 4x400 relay and fourth in the 4x800 relay. She was GMC champion, district champion and regional champ in the 800, and finished 16th at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals in 2:11.3. In 2017, she was a member of the 4x800 relay team that won the Ohio state championship, setting a state record time. She has been selected first team all-GMC, 1st team all-city and all-state numerous times in numerous events.

Also an all-star cross country runner, Maddie is a two-time GMC cross country champion and GMC CC Runner of the Year. Twice she has been a finalist for Cincinnati Sports Awards' Cross Country Runner of the Year. Her personal best time of 17:57 is third all-time in school history.

Just recently in March, Maddie was on the Comets' 4x400 relay team that was the Ohio state runner-up at the Ohio State Indoor Track Championships. She was also indoor Ohio state runner-up in the 800-meter run.

Maddie has athletic genes -- Her dad was an All-American swimmer at Purdue, and her mom was an All-American track runner at Purdue. Her grandpa coached track.

Her favorite athlete and most-like-to-meet is Colleen Quigley, favorite entertainer is Emma Watson, favorite book is the Harry Potter series and favorite move is Perks of Being a Wallflower.
