Notre Dame Academy senior All-American Kamden Schrand will graduate from her school with two Kentucky state championships in volleyball. A defensive specialist, Kamden, a libero, was a member of the 2020 state-winning team her sophomore year and this season was a senior on the Pandas team that defeated Lexington Dunbar for its 10th overall state crown in volleyball.

Team captain Kamden had 22 digs in the state championship game to lead the 34-5 Pandas. She owns the program record for career digs with 1,249 and recorded 194 career aces, good for second in program history. She broke her own program record of 81 aces in a season with 85 this season. This past season, she recorded 572 digs, 85 aces and 83 assists.

Kamden has won a slew of awards for her stellar volleyball play, including this season being named Kentucky Defensive Player of the year, first-team all-state, MVP of the 9th Region Tournament, first-team all-Northern Kentucky and was named to the all-tournament teams of the district, regional and state championship tournaments.

A good student, Kamden also plays volleyball for the Tri-state Elite club team. She will continue her academic and athletic career next season at the University of Louisville. Her favorite athlete is Joe Burrow, favorite entertainer is Tom Holland, favorite movie is The Parent Trap and most-like-to-meet is Steph Curry.
