One of Northern Kentucky's best basketball players is Ryle High School senior Abby Holtman, who has scored 1,000+ points in her accomplished career for the tradition-rich Ryle girls' basketball program, which won the state championship in 2019. She is also the school's all-time leading three-point scorer with 271 and counting.

Abby is coming off a super junior campaign when she led the Lady Raiders in scoring, averaging 15 points a game, 4.1 rebounds a game and 2.2 steals a game. She helped the team to a 21-10 record and a regional runner-up finish. Top games included those vs. Dixie Heights (29 points), Notre Dame Academy (28 points) and Newport Central Catholic (25 points). She made 75 three-pointers last season, and she holds the school record for most three-pointers made in a game (9), set when she was a sophomore.

Abby has won numerous honors for her basketball play. Her junior year for the Lady Raiders, she was named first-team all-NKY by the Enquirer. She was named to the 9th Region all-tournament team and was honorable mention all-state by the Louisville Courier-Journal. She was also selected to play for the Kentucky Junior All-Star team.

Abby also plays basketball for the Kentucky Premier EYBL club team, and she has been nominated to play in the prestigious McDonald's All-American games. She will continue her play collegiately next season at the University of Cincinnati.

A good student who is active in community service, Abby in her spare time likes to read and listen to music. Her favorite athlete is Michael Jordan, favorite entertainers are The Lumineers, Taylor Swift, Noah Kahan and Post Malone; her favorite book is The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller, favorite movies are Creed 2, Good Will Hunting and the Equalizer 2, and, her most-like-to-meet is Serena Williams.
