Elder senior Luke Vaughn is an all-star baseball player who can play catcher or infield. He is having a good senior season: In 28 games, he is batting .400 (tied for first in the GCL South) with 25 RBI (tied for second in the GCL South).

Luke is coming off a good junior campaign when he hit .360 with five doubles and three triples. He led the league in RBI with 34, plus scored 20 runs and had five stolen bases. For his accomplishments, Luke was named GCL South Player of the Year, Cincinnati Div. I Co-Player of the Year, SWO District Co-Player of the Year, first team all-city and honorable mention all-Ohio.

A good student (National Honor Society) who is active in community service, Luke also plays baseball for the nationally prominent Midland Redskins team that, last summer, won the Connie Mack World Series in Farmington, New Mexico. He will continue his fine play on the collegiate level at the University of Alabama.

His favorite athlete is Benito Santiago, favorite entertainer and most-like-to-meet is Kevin Hart, favorite book is The Great Gatsby and favorite movie is The Shawshank Redemption.
