MVP ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Leading the Braves, the #1-ranked small school team, is QB Mike Scherpenberg who, last season led the team to a 9-1 regular season record and the CHL conference title. During the regular season he was 2nd in Cincinnati in passing with 2,110 yards. Including playoffs, the Braves went 10-2 and Mike completed a school record 181 passes for 2,493 yards and 24 TDs. He was named 1st team all-conference, 1st team all-Southwest Ohio in Div. III and special mention all-Ohio. He's playing strong this year too, throwing for 413 yards and 6 TDs in a 48-20 win vs. Bellevue. Also a good basketball player, Mike was named last year honorable mention all-Southwest Ohio district and all-city. Holder of numerous school football records, he is active in community service. Mike's favorite entertainer is Chris Farley, his favorite athlete is Barry Sanders and his most-like-to-meet is Michael Vick.
