MVP ACCOMPLISHMENTS: This senior
goalkeeper last year helped lead her team to a 24-2 record and
the Kentucky state championship, a 1-0 shutout win over Lexington
Catholic. In a season to remember, Sydney and the Bluebirds set
a state high school record for shutouts in a season with 20, and
allowed only 7 goals all season long! She was named MVP of the
state tournament, and has more than 120 saves and 35 shutouts in
her great prep career. Sydney last year was named to the all-district,
all-region and all-state tournament teams as well as being named
1st team all-state and N. Ky. Player of the Year. A National Honor
Society student who is active in community service, Sydney's favorite
entertainers are Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, her favorite
athlete is David Beckham and her most-like-to-meet is Johnny Depp.
Sydney will continue her stellar soccer play next year at the University
of Kentucky.
