Loveland senior Luke Waddell has been a super athlete for the Tigers for the past four years, a two-sport all-star in baseball and football.

A four-year varsity starter in baseball, Luke, a shortstop, in 21 games this season, is hitting .413 with 15 RBI.

Last season, he hit a league-leading .500 with 42 hits, including nine doubles, six triples and 22 RBI. He also stole 11 bases. He was 1st team all-ECC for the third time, 1st team all-city and 1st team all-Ohio.

In an outstanding and highly decorated varsity football career, the running back ran for a school career-record 5,600 yards and scored 66 rushing TDs. He also holds five other football school records.

Luke in football was 1st team all-ECC four straight years and his junior year he was also the ECC Offensive Player of the Year.

His freshman year, Luke helped the Tigers win the Division II Ohio state championship when he ran for 1,593 yards and 18 touchdowns and caught 26 passes for 458 yards and two scores.

A National Honor Society member who is active in community service, Luke will play baseball collegiately at Georgia Tech University.
