Mason High School senior Annie Kruse is an all-star tennis player who has been a big part of the Comets' success for the past several years.

The Mason Comets girls team continued their mastery of the GMC this season with a 6th straight league team championship, its eighth overall title. Anna contributed by winning the first doubles' championship 6-1, 6-0 with partner Raina Chada. Both were named 1st team all-GMC. Annie and Raina also won this season's sectional and district doubles' championships to advance to state for the third straight year. They helped the Comets to go 9-0 in league play, 22-1 over all and a fourth straight Ohio state team championship.

In the past two years, Annie has compiled an impressive record of 42-4 in doubles' play and 5-0 in singles. The Enquirer selected her as a preseason Top Ten Player to Watch in 2020.

Annie and Raina helped Mason last season as a team finish undefeated on the regular season at 20-0, 9-0 in league play. Annie individually won the GMC tournament playing third singles.

For her accomplishments last season, Annie was named 1st team GMC and along with her partner Raina was named the Enquirer's Doubles Team of the Year. Annie was also a finalist for Cincinnati.com Sports' Awards" Doubles Player of the Year along with Raina.

Annie is also a star student with a 4.6 GPA. Her favorite athlete is Grigor Dimitrov, favorite entertainer is Kevin Hart, favorite book is If I Stay, favorite movie is 21 Jump Street and most-like-to-meet is Novak Djockovic.
