One of the GGCL's top defensive soccer players this season was Seton Saints' senior goalie Natalie Schutte.

This season, Natalie in the nets had 117 saves (third in the GGCL) and six shutouts (second in GGCL). She has 151 saves and 8.5 shutouts for her varsity career.

"Natalie brings her best to the field every day," says her Seton coach John Volker. "She is a born leader and strives to make her teammates better."

Active in community service, Natalie will play soccer collegiately at Xavier University. Her club team is Cincinnati United Premier, who were state cup finalists in 2018.

A multi-sport athlete, Natalie also plays basketball for the Saints. Last season, she averaged 8.2 points-5.7 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game (which led the GGCL). Her double-digit scoring games included those vs. Purcell Marian (18 points), St. Henry (15 points), Hilliard Bradley (14 points), Sycamore (14 points) Mount Notre Dame (12 points), and Hilliard Darby (11 points). She was named honorable mention all-league.

Her favorite athlete is LeBron James, favorite entertainer is Kevin Hart, favorite book is The Secret Life of Bees, favorite movie is Mamma Mia! and most-like-to-meet is Alex Morgan.
