Once again, the on-field general entrusted to run one of Ohio's most successful high school football programs is senior Quaid Hauer, who, uniquely, plays both quarterback as well as linebacker for the Cowboys.

The Cowboys have won 72 straight regular season games (tied with Moeller for the top high school mark in Ohio high school history), seven straight CHL championships (38 conference championships overall), and have a 78.4% winning percentage, the best winning percentage in Ohio high school history. The Cowboys haven't lost a regular season game in eight years!

Coach Aaron Hancock's Cowboys are coming off a season in which they went 15-1 and were CHL champions, regional champions and Ohio state runners-up in Div. IV. Last season, Quaid passed for 1,207 yards and seven TDs and added another two TDs rushing. At linebacker on defense, he led the CHL in tackles with 149 (87 solo, 62 assisted), plus had two sacks, five tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one interception, and four pass breakups. As a team, Wyoming allowed a mere 28 points during the entire regular season and was only the seventh team in Ohio history to post 10 shutouts during the season. Quaid earned many honors, including first-team all-CHL, first-team all-city Div. IV (Enquirer), first-team SWO District Div. IV and second-team all-Ohio. He was a finalist for Cincinnati Offensive Player of the Year by the Cincinnati High School Sports Awards.

Quaid had several notable games last season, but really stood out in the 32-20 win over Steubenville in the Ohio state semifinals. In the game, he threw for a career-high 274 yards, and on defense he had 17 tackles and a sack. He added 15 tackles vs. Clinton-Massie and 13 tackles vs. Shawnee. His sophomore year, he set a school record for best pass completion percentage (69.3%.) He has also played varsity basketball for the Cowboys.

In this, his senior campaign, in the first five games, all wins, he has passed for 724 yards and six TDs, plus rushed for five more TDs.

In this, his senior campaign, in the first four games, all wins, he has passed for 656 yards and six TDs, plus rushed for three more TDs.

Quaid plans on playing football at the next level but has not yet committed to a college. His favorite athlete is Joe Burrow, favorite entertainer is Joe Rogan, favorite book is Unbroken, favorite movie is Harry Potter and most-like-to-meet is Jordan Pederson.

COACH'S QUOTE – "Quaid Hauer does a tremendous job of representing Wyoming Football on and off the field. His dedication, work ethic, and selflessness make him a great team leader and captain for his team. He is a focused individual who sets a high standard and goals for himself and his teammates and then works extremely hard to achieve them."
— Aaron Hancock, Varsity Football Coach
