Cast your eyes northward from the City of Cincinnati and you'll find a
talented high school basketball player in Fairfield senior guard Logan
Woods, who eclipsed 1,000 points scored in his great varsity career and,
this past season, for the second time was named honorable mention
all-Ohio. He holds the school records for most assists in a career and
most assists in a game.
Logan's play this season helped the Indians, who were defending GMC
champions, find themselves once again atop the GMC standings with a 23-5
overall record and 14-2 in league play. Averaging 13.6 points per game,
his top games included games vs. La Salle (24 points), St. Xavier (21
points), Wayne (20 points) and Middletown (19 points). The Wright State
University signee helped Fairfield win a District championship, its
first District title in 10 years, by scoring 19 points with five
three-pointers in a win vs. Walnut Hills. The team was Div. I Regional
runners-up, losing to Centerville, and Logan was named GMC Player of the
Year.
His junior year, Logan averaged 16.1 points a game while contributing
3.3 rebounds per game and two assists per game. He was named first team
all-GMC, second team all-city, second team all-SWO District, and
honorable mention all-Ohio.
Active in community service, Logan also plays basketball for the Midwest
Basketball Club team and next season will play collegiately up the road
at Wright State University.
His favorite athlete is LeBron James, favorite entertainer is Kevin
Hart, favorite book is By My Brother's Side, favorite movie is Black
Panther and most-like-to-meet is Deion Sanders.
