She was only the second Northern Kentucky volleyball player ever to receive this award. Taylor helped the Crusaders (36-8) win the Kentucky state championship of the All-A Classic, the Kentucky state championship of the regular season as well as the 9th Region championship. It was the Crusaders second state title all-time and the first in 40 years. Taylor will be playing her volleyball next season at the University of Oklahoma.

Her outstanding high school career saw her slam 1,455 kills to go along with 483 digs, 282 total blocks and 85 total aces. She is only the second player in program history to surpass one thousand kills in a career. This past season alone, despite missing two-and-a-half weeks with an ankle injury, Taylor notched 460 kills, plus 148 digs, 42 blocks and 21 aces. She was named as the Enquirer's Northern Kentucky Player of the Year and was nominated as Cincinnati Sports Awards' Volleyball Player of the Year. These are just some of the many awards she has earned. Her junior year, she was named MVP of the Kentucky State Tournament and the 9th Region tournament, Northern Kentucky Girls Volleyball Coaches' Div. II Player of the Year and first-team all-state. She was also selected to participate in the Under Armor All-American Camp as well as the USA National Team Development Program in California. Her club team is the NKYVC 18-Tsunami.

A great student (3.97 GPA) who is active in community service, Taylor has been playing varsity volleyball since the eighth grade. Her favorite athlete is Michael Jordan, favorite entertainer is Kevin Hart, favorite book is The Great Gatsby, favorite movie is National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and most-like-to-meet is Ellen DeGeneres.
