Beechwood High School has a standout multi-sport star in senior Luke Erdman, who excels in track & field and football.

Luke was also a member of this season's 4x200 relay team that won the Kentucky indoor track & field championship in a state record time of 1:32.07. He also finished fifth in the 55-meter dash.

His junior year, at the 2024 outdoor Kentucky Track & field championships, he won three gold medals. He was the Kentucky Class 1A state champion in the 100 dash (10.77) and 200 dash (22.02) and was on the state-winning 4x100 relay team (43.28), all helping the Tigers win the overall Kentucky state championship for the first time in program history. He earned numerous honors, including being named 2024 Athlete of the Year by the Northern Kentucky Track & Field Coaches Association and Northern Kentucky Runner of the Year. He holds school records in the 100 and 200 dashes and the long jump.

Also a star football player, Luke, a wide receiver and defensive back, was a talented part of the Tigers' football team that won the Kentucky Class 2A championship vs. Owensboro Catholic for their 18th state football title. In the game, Luke returned a key interception 63 yards to set up a touchdown. On the season, he had 43 receptions for 662 yards and 13 touchdowns, and was part of Beechwood's football senior class that finished its four-year career with a 55-4 record and three state championships.

For his gridiron accomplishments last season, Luke was named first-team all-Northern Kentucky by the Enquirer and as a Kentucky Class 2A all-state performer.

A good student who is active in community service, Luke is leaving his options open as to playing football or running track at the next level. His favorite athlete is Ja’marr Chase, favorite entertainer is Liam Neeson, favorite book is The Great Gatsby, favorite movie is Rush Hour 3 and most-like-to-meet is Pat McAfee.
